{ Free Cut Friday and a catch up post }

I know today is Saturday, but my plan for yesterday did not work out.

We got back from our family trip to Croatia on Wednesday. Alex starts Kindergarten on Monday, and he got to meet his teacher Thursday night. There will be lots of crying Monday morning.

The supplies I took with me to scrapbook, on the plane, and while there, did not happen. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, I posted this photo. I didn’t touch a single item while I was there. There was not enough time. We stayed up late and slept in. Our days were filled with visiting family, eating, and drinking. Alex played with his 6 cousins.

I did use my Instax. It was definitively trial and error, just like I read. Most of the photos turned out great, others did not. They were dark or overexposed, and you do not take close ups with the Instax.

Now, for the Free Cut Friday. I created these two cards and they are up on The Scrap Review blog for download or you can download the file by clicking on the photo. These are perfect for project life pockets.

My back to school project I created for Therm O Web uses another Silhouette cut file I created in Silhouette Studio. You can find a step by step tutorial with photos on Therm O Web blog. I used a perfect stamp set called I Love School by Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday. The stars and the banner are from Seal Companion – Star by Technique Tuesday.

{ August Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday }

Welcome to our August 2013 Blog Hop.

Today we are featuring projects made with Leaving On A Jetplane - Studio AE August 2013

 Here is my layout.

I have to tell you that I am having a really hard time with this post. I am in Croatia right now visiting family.
I came to check my post to make sure everything was OK and my scheduled post was gone. Starting over now.

I stamped various sentiments from Leaving On A Jetplane on white cardstock and cut them out. I paired this stamp set with Travel With Flair by Ali Edwards. It is perfect with this set.

The photos are from Alex's first visit to Croatia and plane ride. I used a mixture of patterned papers and embellishments from Ema's Paperie. The flair button is from {A Flair for Buttons}.

 ***Make sure you check out all the blogs because we are giving away a $25.00 gift certificate to Technique Tuesday. That means you can get anything you want.***
The winners will be announced on the Technique Tuesday blog on the 15th.

{ Impression Obsession Design Team Thursday }

As some of you know I am far, far away, visiting family in Croatia. You can follow my adventure on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.

It is my turn today to share a card I made using Impression Obsession stamps. Here is what I created.

Amazing by Daniela Dobson

I started by stamping Sketchy Chevron Border on the right side of white cardstock. I stamped the Grunge Circle 1 on white cardstock that I cut out. The stamps are stamped and cut out and one is adhered to the Grunge Circle 1 with 3D Foam Adhesive.

I added three enamel dots from My Mind’s Eye and sprayed the finished card with Chartreuse Color Shine from Heidi Swapp. The base patterned paper is from The Pier collection by Crate Paper.

That is all from me for today. Have a great Thursday.

{ 10 minute Craft Dash Birthday Celebration }

Hi and welcome to our 10 minute Craft Dash Birthday Celebration blog hop featuring 20 special guests and the Craft Dash DT showcasing their birthday creations.

You should have arrived from Cristina "Yainea" Nunez.

You can always find a full list of participants and all the challenge details at Pretty Pink Posh.

CD_23

10 Minute Craft Dash is celebrating their birthday today and I was asked to join in on all the fun!!!

Time to complete my card 8:48.

I started with The Crafter’s Workshop Chevron template and modeling paste. I used my heat gun to speed up the drying process. I colored the paste with pearlescent chalk. I adhered the rhinestones ribbon with Zips from Therm O Web. Zips are clear adhesive lines that you can cut to any size you need. I love them.

I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and colored the word with colored pencil. To finish the card I added ribbon, button with twine and some pins.

{ August Studio AE }

Happy August 1st! I can’t believe it. It’s time for a new set from Studio AE – Leaving On A Jet Plane - August  2013.

Here is my card.

Hello travel by Daniela Dobson

This is such a fun stamp set. I took in on my trip and plan on using it in my mini album. I had to add a flair stamp from our new Travel With Flair by Ali Edwards.

I used Urban Traveler by Simple Stories card as a base and added a tag sticker from Urban Traveler sticker sheet. The colorful flair from {A Flair For Buttons} fit the card perfectly.

I hope you like the stamps. Have a great day.
