{ Creating a Snowflake in Silhouette Studio }

I just can’t believe that tomorrow is the last day of 2012. I am always a little sad when a year comes to an end and excited to see what the new one will bring.
2012 was good to me!

I had several requests for a video on how I make my snowflakes in Silhouette Studio.

First, let me show you a sneak for January Studio AE.

Note: I do have a Designer Edition of the software and I realize that some functions might now be available. I am able to show you how to make a snowflake with out the Center of Rotation adjustment function that is only available in Designer Edition.

Here are some of my snowflake creations…don’t forget the free Snowflake file download.

{ The day after, giveaway winner, and photos }

Well, it’s two days after Christmas. I did start to write this post yesterday, but it just didn’t happen. It’s been busy around here with all the Christmas festivities. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

I am sharing two of my recent projects that I created for Technique Tuesday blog. One is a Thank you card that is perfect for all those Christmas gifts. The other is a tag…if you have some late gifts to give out, this little tag is quick and easy.

For this card I used Thank You and Remember This by Ali Edwards - Story Cards - Red. The snowflake is one of my creations. I created it while I was doing a snowflake video. Some of you requested a video to show you how I make them. I cut the snowflake from iCraft adhesive from Therm O Web and added glitter.

I used Jingle All the Way by Ali Edwards and Chevrons Two Step on this tag. The tree is from the Silhouette store that I cut two times, folded, and stitched in the center.

****Now for the giveaway winner. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment….The winner is….Juliana !!! Juliana, email me so I can mail you these goodies.****

Here are some photos form our festivities.

{ Joy Mixed Media canvas and a giveaway }

This is my last post for Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft as their guest DT member. I loved it all. Thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of your team. I love how this canvas turned out. It matches my other one perfectly.

Step by step photos and instructions are on Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog. If you Google deer silhouette you have plenty to choose from. I liked this one. I traced it in my Silhouette Studio and cut it on iCraft adhesive sheet from Therm O Web. You have seen me use that sheet on all my glitter projects. I used the iCraft adhesive sheet for the snowflake below. You can download that one for free.

Here is a little Snowman card that I created not that long ago using Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. I created the snowman in my Silhouette Studio and colored him using Faber–Castell Design Memory Craft. Step by step photos and instructions are on the blog HERE.

Now for the giveaway!!!

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft gave me this prize to give away to one of my blog readers. This prize pack is worth over $50. Today is a perfect day for a giveaway since it’s my birthday (and the first day of winter).

Leave a comment on this post and I will draw one winner.

Even if you have never used Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft products, they are really easy to work with. You can find numerous examples of inspiration and tips on their blog and website.

{ December Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop }

Welcome to our December Studio AE Blog Hop.

Today we are featuring projects made with the Studio AE – My Life – December 2012.

I created a mini accordion album. I downloaded the album from the Silhouette Store, by Lori Whitlock.

I used My Mind’s Eye patterned paper to cover the album cover, inside pages and the tags. I have to tell you that this was really easy to make. The hardest part for me was deciding which photos to use. They are all 2 x 2 inches, and once I had them printed the mini came together pretty quick.

The 3d accordion file folder mini album comes with a belly band, but I used ribbon. Once tied you can easily remove it to open and view the inside pages.

I tried to coordinate all the patterned papers and the embellishments. I went through my stash and pulled all the yellow and pink items.

These tags are really fun. They are all different shapes and fit nicely inside the pockets. I added stamping to each page with a photo. I will add journaling on the back to talk about each of the photos/events in my life.

For the embellishments on the tags I added different washi tape to the bottom of each one.

***Make sure you check out all the blogs because we are giving away a $25.00 gift certificate to Technique Tuesday. That means you can get anything you want.***
The winners will be announced on the Technique Tuesday blog on the 13th.

Here is my project.

Winter wishes by Daniela Dobson

I stamped the card base with Cover-a-card Snowflakes and heat embossed using white embossing powder. The Christmas tree is die cut from patterned paper and I used 3D Foam Squares to adhere the tree to the card. I added some sparkly glitter to the edges.
The sentiment is from All I Want For Christmas stamp set, stamped on die cut tag.

{ Technique Tuesday December Studio AE }

Hello December! I can’t believe you are here! Time for our December Studio AE stamp set called My Life by Ali Edwards.

Here is my layout.

I heat embossed with clear embossing powder after stamping. Love the stamp set and I came up with numerous ways of using it. I just hope I have time to create what I envisioned. If you follow me on Instagram you will recognize this photo of Alex from couple of weeks ago, helping me make cookies. I used bits and pieces from The Scrapbook Circle November and October kit.

This is what the stamp set looks like. Let me know what you think.

  Here is one more layout I created for Technique Tuesday Blog feature Memory Keeping.

Life today by Daniela Dobson

I die cut the leaves and stamped polka dots on them with the Passion for Polka stamp set. I created and cut the tag with my Cameo and then stamped the Chevrons from Chevrons Two Step right on it. “Hello Today” is a digital file by Ali Edwards that I traced and cut out with my Silhouette Studio. I stamped “love” from Days of the Week by Ali Edwards with yellow ink and cut it out to add to the Story Card."
