{ Triangles and Chevrons }

I have a cute layout posted on Scrapbook Circle blog today about how I created this chevron strip, and I did not use my Silhouette (well, I did on the title). I hope you check it out.

{ September Studio AE Sneak Peek }

Here is a little peek for September Studio AE. It’s perfect for FALL. It was nice working with fall colors on this layout, even in our 98 degree weather.

I made one more card using August Studio AE – Love This Memory.

Love you 77466

I love that these circles have both positive and negative stamp impressions. I used 3D Foam Squares by Therm O Web to add dimension to the stamped circle. The little arrow is cut with my Silhouette and I colored it with ink to match.

Here is one more for Studio AE Flash back post I did for Technique Tuesday blog, using It's OK by Ali Edwards, the Studio AE stamp set from December 2011.

I just love you 74911

{ The Cameo Spotlight Challenge #2 }

Thanks so much for joining us two weeks ago in our first challenge. Our challenge number 2 is all about NUMBERS.

tcs_2_gray

Here is my card.

I designed the numbers strip in my Silhouette Studio and cut it out. I added washi tape behind the openings and adhered the strip with 3D Foam Squares by Therm O Web.  I traced around each number with a black pen.

The star is cut with the Silhouette and I adhered vellum behind the opening. I added confetti inside and stitched around the sta. The sentiment is from new by Technique Tuesday.

For the background, I created a circle template in my Silhouette Studio and used my watercolor crayons to paint inside each circle with a different color.

Thanks so much for visiting! I hope to see what YOU create using this theme! Please visit the The Cameo Spotlight blog ~ to see what amazing samples the DT has created and for COMPLETE challenge details.

{ Free Cut Friday }

New feature on The Scrap Review Blog! We are offering free silhouette files. Today, we are sharing a collection I created.
Here is a card I made with one of the cuts.

I created two polaroid frames. One as you see above and another one that is plain. The polaroid size is 3.5 x 4”. The plain one would be perfect to add your own stickers, stamps, ribbon or journaling. I will use this on a layout next time.
I created a similar frame collection with stars that you can see and download HERE. It was one of my first designs, soon after I got my Silhouette Cameo.
I grabbed some washi tape and layered the strips across the middle of the card and adhered the frame over the top. Pretty simple and fast with a butterfly and a yellow resin flower.

{ One Item Wonder and Lifting you }

I had two different assignments this month at Scrapbook Circle.

The August kit, True Stories, includes a shabby yellow flower from Precocious Paper. Made of fabric, the Ruffle Blossom has a lot of dimension. I was asked to use it in an interesting or unique way. You can see more details on Scrapbook Circle blog.

I added a little more texture to it by adding twine to the petals and tying them in a knot. I used my large sewing needle to sew the twine to the blossom.

I followed the lines on the Protractor Take Note from Studio Calico paper and cut every other one. I layered that over the pink American Crafts paper. I stitched over the bursts and added some arrows that I designed and cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

Have you used your Ruffle Blossom yet? We would love to see! Upload your projects to the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page and we will come take a peek.

The second challenge was to lift one of our members. Here is my layout and you can see what Jenni created on the Scrapbook Circle Blog .

Sweet treat 74300

I added a glassine bag and filled it with confetti. Used my sewing machine and stitched it about half way. I added a journaling tag it the top half. The title and the chevron/arrow are cut with my Cameo.

Do you want to be considered for the Lifting You feature on our blog? Share your work using Scrapbook Circle kits on the Facebook page.

Have a great Tuesday!

{ Free Cut Friday! }

New feature on The Scrap Review Blog! We are offering free silhouette files. Today, we are sharing a collection I created.
Here is a card I made with one of the cuts.

My friend by Daniela Dobson

I layered the chevron opening over some washi tape. The bottom of the tag is stamped with brand new, arrived yesterday, Chevron Two Step by Technique Tuesday. Love it. The sentiment is from So Very Thankful by Ali Edwards.
The flower is from Rolled Flowers by Laina Lamb kit. I was able to open it and cut with my Silhouette.

I hope you enjoy these files. They are perfect for cards, layouts and project life. Let me know if you ever need anything for me to create and share. Suggestions are welcome.
The Cameo Spotlight Challenge is still open if you want to create a summer themed card. These files would be perfect or even this summer collection.
