{ Just bee-cause }

Have you seen these adorable printable stamps, called Cute Critters,  from The Cutting Cafe'? I used CPS #168 for the card and I turned the sketch on it's side.  I printed Circle Background printable stamp set on the patterned paper.
The little bees are printed on patterned paper and punched with Martha Stewart punch.  I made the crinkled ribbon. I had some left over crepe paper that I used for the bottom ruffle. I use my Adobe Photoshop to arrange all my elements on one page then I print a test sheet. If everything is the way I like it I adhere patterned paper that I want and print again.

Here is Alex from the playground the other day!
Have a great weekend.

{ Papertrey May Blog Hop Challenge }

The challenge:  "This month's blog hop is all about fabulous felt! We know you love this addition to our product line-up and we would love to see what you are doing with it! From borders to focal points, paper crafts to sewing projects. Hair accessories to home decor accents. Cards to scrapbook layouts. We want to see it all!"

I made the little house out of felt that I stitched to the card with my sewing machine. I added a flower that I embellished with felt and a button.

I die cut clouds from Elle's Studio Sweet Summer mini papers and I added a Photograph Note Tiny Tag under the felt house. I stamped the sentiment on embossed cardstock that was sprayed with Shimmerz. I made a little flag out of it and attached it to a pin.

Supplies: Papertrey Ink button, cloud die and Mega Mixed Messages stamp set. October Afternoon patterned paper, Elle's Studio Sweet Summer Mini Papers and Photograph Note Tiny Tag, Martha Stewart punch and bakers twine, Making Memories flower and pin, Wilton Enterprises doily, felt.

{ Elle's Studio May Projects }

It's that time again. Elle's Studio Inspiration gallery is up! I loved playing with the new A Sweet Summer Collection. Here are my projects.

A Sweet Summer collection goes perfectly with this paper from Little Yellow Bicycle that I used for my background. I used Sweet Summer Mini Papers, Sweet Summer Flash Card, Sweet Summer Scallops, Sweet Summer Note Tags, Sweet Sumer Tiny Tags and Sweet Summer stamps. I love all these colors together. I layered October Afternoon paper over Sweet Summer polka dot Mini Paper to create the large banner.

I stamped the flowers on the Sweet Summer Mini Papers and used my exacto knife to cut out the middle parts. I added some buttons and crepe paper streamer that I sprayed with Shimmerz.

My second layout is about Alex's Summer favorites. I had such a hard time choosing a photo. I have too many and I couldn't decide. The background paper arrived in a box from Cards Magazine. The collection is called About A Girl by Fancy Pants Designs...hehehe. I added yellow and white paint to the background.

I used Sweet Summer Candy Shop tag, Sweet Summer Note tags, Sweet Summer journaling tags, Sweet Summer Scallops and Sweet Summer Tiny Tags. These Sassafras Lass banner stickers are really sticky and sometimes I am not sure where I want the sticker. I add baby powder to the back. That way I can play around and when I am ready I use glue dots to stick it down. Here, I used my sewing machine to stitch it to the background.
I painted the edges of Heidi Swapp butterfly and added a flower and a button to the center. I added a little banner to a Journaling Circle tag.

I used Sweet Summer Mini Papers for this card background and the leaves. The flower is nested over a Birthday Journaling tag and I stamped the sentiment on Vintage Baby Label Cut Out.
I added my crepe paper ruffle, crepe flower that I made and my crinkled ribbon.

Have a great weekend.

What a fun sketch this week from 2S4Y. I won this adorable stamp set from Verve Stamps called Up Up and Away. It has been sitting on my desk for a while and I finally got to use it. The background paper is from The Thrift Shop collection by October Afternoon, love the colors. I added Maya Road banner stamp over the layered punched scallops. I added a little jewel to my handmade flower.

In other news. Potty training day 11 complete. We are accident free - day 7.  Here is Alex with his ice cream sundae for being such a good boy. I am so proud of him.

This is so easy to make and it's adorable. I used October Afternoon Thrift Shop patterned paper. I love these colors. I had a little piece of crepe paper left over from another project that I sprayed with Shimmerz Spritz.

I added a little pin for my flag and my crinkled ribbon. After I printed the sentiment I used Nestabilities die to cut the scalloped circle.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - out of the box }

How about another purple card!! Purple is not my favorite color and I don't even know how I started using it, but I love it.  I used a sketch from 2S4Y #51.
I used my favorite background stamp, Cover-a-Card Wood Grain (CC34), sprayed it with Grape Escape Shimmerz Vibes and made this beautiful background. I added the bicycle from my second favorite stamp set, Riding Pretty (CL255). I know I didn't get too creative with my "out of the box" challenge, but I wanted my own "patterned paper".

I added some pretty hand dyed crinkled ribbon and some flowers in the basket. I cut them out and used pop dots for dimension. I added a strip of Basic Grey Kioshi paper that I punched with a border punch. I machine stitched the paper to the card base.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designers' blogs for inspiration! Dina, Jeanne,  JulieDeborah,and Rosemary.

***Would you like to see your card featured on the Impression Obsession blog? Email your challenge cards using Impression Obsession images to Shirley. Every week, cards will be selected to showcase on the Impression Obsession blog!!! You have until midnight this Saturday to enter your card. A random winner will be selected from the submissions to receive a $25 Impression Obsession gift certificate! You can find all the info HERE.

{ Mojo Monday 137 }

Here I am again, with a card from Mojo Monday 137 sketch. Brand new stamps from Impression Obsession, arrived yesterday, and used for the first time. I stamped my background with Cover-a-Card Scratches (CC044) in Creamy Caramel and then Cover-a-Card Roses (CC043) sprayed with Razzle Dazzle Berry Shimmerz Vibez.

I stamped white cardstock with Cover-a-Card Wood Grain (CC034) in Tuscan Sun and Sunset Strip Vibez. When it was dry I stamped a journaling stamp from  Journaling I (WP165) stamp set and cut it out. The adorable bird is from Sing Loudly (WP276) stamp set. I painted the bird with Pearlex Watercolor. The sentiment is from Anytime Sentiments (CL43) stamp set.

I layered four Prima flowers and adhered them over my scrunched crepe paper sprayed with Grape Escape Shimmerz Vibez.

I might be addicted to purple and crepe paper, what do you think? Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!

{ Card patterns #62 }

I hope you had a great weekend. A ton of creating happening here...after a week of nothing. I think we all go through phases.
I love this sketch from Card Patterns. I used a frame template from The Cutting Cafe . This set has 7 different templates to choose from, including a circle.

I stamped the background with Cover-a-card Music (CC029) stamp and then sprayed Blue Jeans Shimmerz over the top. I sprayed the white crepe paper streamer with the same color. I use my heat gun to dry it. I don't know how long it would take to air dry it because it is soaking wet. This way I just spray what I need and and use it right away.

I used October Afternoon Thrift Shop patterned paper that was left over from another project. I tend to use the things that are laying around on my desk. I try to clean up, but I like it messy.

I made the flower from felt and tulle. I was just playing around and I like the way it turned out.

Have a great night. I am getting ready to watch some Monday night TV!
