Here is my little monster. He had a Halloween Party yesterday that was so much fun, and he was so cute. A photo from today. It was a beautiful day and he played outside with all the pumpkins.

Here is a little gift I made using this Ghirardelli Box tutorial and The Cutting Cafe' tag that I created for this project.

Check out the .99 cents special that Regina has in the store now.

Sketch #3 is up, by Miss M. The Cutting Cafe' is sponsoring this challenge. I made this little Christmas card using All About Christmas printable stamp set and a sentiment from Fancy Holiday Season printable stamp set. Have a great night.

{ Mojo Monday 110, Pencil Lines 157 and some cookies }

Happy Wednesday. My headache finally went away (after five days) and I feel better. I wanted to make a card and I discovered Mojo Monday (again). This is my first time playing and it looks like a fun place. Loved the sketch, week 110, and wanted to use some of my (new) stash. I used Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon patterned paper. Sassafras Lass cloud sticker and Prima flower and leaf. Jenni Bowlin ticket is a scrap from a layout I made this weekend.

This card took less than 30 minutes to make, photograph and edit. It all happened tonight. I used my white balance feature on my camera to take the photo. No flash. This is the layout I created with Studio Calico kit. I used Pencil Lines sketch 157. I just love the fun photo that I took of us on my husband's birthday. I added Making Memories embossed metal "Family" plate, Autumn Leaves tree stamp and Elle's Studio tag. I made the flower that I sprayed with Tuscan Sun Shimmerz Spritz and painted with Ultra Marine Shimmerz paint. I finally baked my favorite, seasonal cookies...Cranberry-Pumpkin Cookies. They are delicious! I omitted the Walnuts because I didn't have any, but this is the way I like them. I am getting ready to grab a few of those cookies, curl up on the couch and watch some TV.

{ My Scrapbook Nook November kit, Project 365 - week 41 }

November kit at My Scrapbook Nook is available for purchase. Beautiful Lily Bee Audrey collection. I went to my first crop Saturday night with my sweet friend Leslie. To my surprise, I completed two layouts. I had to add finishing touches when I got home, but here they are. For the second layout I painted Golden Wheat Shimmerz over my dark cardstock and then stamped polka dots with paint. I found this foam stamp by Making Memories that was perfect. It was way up on a shelf, in a box. I kept it out for future use. The buttons came from the October kit.

{ CPS #138 and Shimmerz }

Shimmerz Paints is the sponsoring CPS #138 this week and the design team is making cards all this week, using Shimmerz, of course. I made this card for a sweet friend. I used Crate Paper and large polka dot (by Impression Obsession) embossed cardstock that was left over from another project. I die cut the butterfly from old book paper using my Cuttlebug die. I am taking an online class by Elizabeth Kartchner, Mysteries of Me. I have some old book pages to use up. I sprayed the butterfly with Licorice Shimmerz Spritz and then painted the wings with December Sky Blingsz, Golden Wheat and Bubble Gum Shimmerz. I used my heat gun to set each color before moving to the next. The journaling tag is sprayed with Tuscan Sun, Sea Foam and Licorice Shimmerz Spritz. I wasn't trying to change the color I just wanted to add some shimmer.

{ A tall order - Caardvarks challenge }

The Challenge:

Create a *new* TALL card! Have your entry linked to Caardvarks via Mr. Linky by Midnight, October 30th, PST. The sponsor is Nikki Sivils and you can see the prize here.

My card is 3.5 x 7 inches...perfect size since it fits in a business size envelope. I used scraps of paper from other projects, October Afternoon and Sassafras Lass. The beautiful ribbon is from May Arts and the little brad I picked up at Michael's (I think), it's by The Paper Studio. I used Papertrey Ink stamps to create the stamped background.

My term with Caardvarks is coming to an end and this is my last challenge. I hope you continue to visit Caardvarks for their challenges and inspiration.

I used a canvas to display one of my favorite quotes. The canvas is small (3.75 x 3.75") and I have it displayed in my scrap space.

I painted the canvas with pink paint, then white. I let some pink show thorough. Then I used a make up sponge and sponged Bubble Gum Shimmerz paint all over the canvas edges and quote strips. I used the same sponge to dab the Bubble Gum Shimmerz paint on my acrylic stamp that I stamped on the canvas background. I used two different stamps, flourish and polka dot. I punched the butterflies with a punch and painted them with Bubble Gum Shimmerz paint I added heart pins and jewels. I used this technique for my tissue flower, but with tissue only. I painted the edges with Bubble Gum Shimmerz paint. I hope you are able to join us this month and create something pink with Shimmerz.

{ Impressin Obsession DT challenge - winter, Project 365 - week 40 }

For this card I used CPS #137. I stamped my background with a snowflake stamp from Winter Wonderland stamp set (CL244). The cute little snowman and the sentiment are from Winter Fun stamp set (MC246). I love that he is skating. I colored him using my Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits. I added some sparkle with Stickles to his scarf, coat and skate trails. I added jewels to the snowflakes and his hat.

I have been making cards with scraps of paper. I save them in a little container on my desk, like pencils, so that I can see them. I have been doing that for a long time.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designers' blogs for inspiration! Laura, Dina, Jeanne, Jenny, Kathy, and Shirley.

***Would you like to see your card featured on the Impression Obsession blog? Email your challenge cards using Impression Obsession images to Shirley. Every week, cards will be selected to showcase on the Impression Obsession blog!!!

{ 2 Sketches 4 You #37, M's Sketch Challenge }

I had so much fun last night, creating, just for me. I received some new papers that I had to play with. I used Kazan's sketch #37 for this card. I even tried a new technique! Jeniffer McGuire is hosting week 2 of the Fall Stamp Camp at 2Peas and she is sharing some awesome background ideas.

I don't have all that fun ink stuff so I tried something different. I stamped a large Cover-a-card polka dot background stamp from Impression Obsession with VersaMark and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used October Afternoon newsprint paper for my background. The fun part...I sprayed my background with Sea Foam Shimmerz Spritz. The spray beaded up on the embossed part and I was able to wipe it off. I love how it turned out. The butterfly is painted with yellow crackle paint and then I painted over that with Golden Wheat Shimmerz. The white Prima flower is painted with Wed Wagon Shimmerz, one of the new Vintage colors. It matched the colors I was working with perfectly. What do you think?

Here is another fun sketch, M's challenge #1. Savitri's daughter Emma made a sketch for us to play. Here is my card. I used October Afternoon and Jillibean Soup papers. The ribbon is May Arts...there is still time for Caardvarks ribbon challenge. I added this pretty flower from One Bright Spot Etsy store. I was a guest designer back in August on Jennifer's blog, Create Often. She has some really cute stuff in her store.

I sprayed the background with Rock-A-Fella Blue Shimmerz Spritz over a damask mask.

Enjoy your evening. I have a boy waiting for his bath and story, and another boy waiting to watch a couple of movies after that.

I will be back on Thursday with a DT challenge from Impression Obsession!

( Cutting Cafe tag box, Project 365 - week 39 }

My first project using Cutting Cafe Halloween Toppers/Tags . These are adorable to use as a cupcake topper, or a Halloween gift tags, like I created here. I used a Candy Box for my gift tags. The box is 3.5 x 3 inches and so easy to assemble, just print and cut. I used Halloween paper I had laying around, SEI and Creative Imaginations. The tags were printed on patterned paper, cut out and matted with 2 inch scalloped circle (punch). Regina has very useful information and tips for printing all of her designs. I made a divider to fit inside the box for the tags, hemp cord and ribbon.

Project 365 - week 39.

9.27 - loves to play with my nesting dolls. 9.26 - he emptied this cabinet one day, it hold all the pot lids, and squeezed himself inside. 9.25 - we were playing outside and I told him to pose for me and he did. I love this photo. 9.24 - you can't see the cracker he has pressed against his ear, using it as a phone. 9.23 - another box adventure. 9.22 - first cold day. Do you see his shoes (sandals with socks)....I wasn't ready. He has tennis shoes now. 9.21 - painting with his Crayola paints.
