Rachel send me an email ------> right sidebar, so I can mail you the cute owl!

Thanks everyone for stopping by. I have more stamps to give away!

Second, I got a new computer and I am in the process of transferring all my files over. That is taking some time. Plus, this is a different program so I am learning all the little tricks. The problem is the font size.....everything looks different, but I will figure it out. Love the new speed and all my programs working. I had to reinstall Adoboe Photoshop and I lost all me presets and I can't find where I saved some of my bushes. They are here somewhere.

When I was out this morning I saw this awesome Holiday Cards & More, Volume 4 issue!!! I love all the projects and ideas. If you need Christmas card inspiration this is the place to find it. I can't wait to get my copy! I had this little card and a tag published in the magazine. Project 365 - week 34.

8.17 - Aquarium visit on our trip to Oklahoma. Alex got to touch a starfish and feed the turtles. He loved all the fish and had so much fun.
8.18 - on our way back.

{ CPS #130, 2 Sketches 4 You #33 and a little giveaway }

I have to tell you, I had so much fun making both of these cards. I found some new, adorable stamps at Michaels, again. How cute is this little robot? When I saw the stamp set I thought about Alex. He is into reading robot books, especially now that he is not scared of them because they make robot noises. This first card is for CPS #130. I used Sassafras Lass Bungle Jungle collection. The little cloud I traces from October Afternoon die cut that came in the August kit from My Scrapbook Nook. I made a template and now I have a cloud to use whenever I want. The fun glitter alphas are from Michaels and they were only $1.00. There were several different colors and fonts. The stamp set is called Robots and it's made by Michaels. I used my Prismacolor pencils to color the robot. I love my pencils again, and I will use them more.
This second card is for 2 Sketches 4 You #33. I fell in love with the little cute owl. It's a "solid" stamp so you can make him any color. He is red here, to match my paper.
I used some scraps of October Afternoon and My Mind's Eye paper that was laying around. I have been cleaning for months and I just keep moving little piles of paper around. I am hoping to use them all up so I don't have to put all that paper away. I embossed the Core'dinations cardstock with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. The blue tag is from Elle's Studio that I won from Tara's blog. The letters are American Crafts that I stitched with my sewing machine.
If you would like this little OWL stamp then leave me a comment on this post and I will randomly pick one winner.

***I noticed as I was loading these photos that the image on the stamp is different from the stamped image...the little feet are missing. I have several of these stamps and they are all like that. I think he is still cute!

Have a great night.

{ Caardvarks: MyStamp Box }

MyStampBOX is the sponsor for our next challenge.

Create a **NEW** card which incorporates the colors of our sponsor's logo - black, white, and hot pink! Have your card linked to us via Mr. Linky at Caardvarks by August 31st at Midnight. You can see the awesome prize and all the DT creations on the Caardvarks blog.

For my card I used black cardstock that I stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. The stamp is Cover-a-card Large (CC007) from Impression Obsession. The Mega Mount to use with the large stamps will be available September 1. I added American Crafts paper and scalloped the bottom edge with EK Success Embossed Curve punch, it is one of my favorite punches now. The journaling card is from Me and My Big Ideas, Maya Road rub-on birds, PTI sentiment stamp, and Prima flowers.

Some of you had asked to see all the cards in the set that I made in my birthday gift post. The stamp set is from Michaels by Hampton Art called Block w/ Words & Icons. There are six stamps, and the one I did not use has a cupcake on it and it says "sweet". I have a photo, but did not get a chance to edit.
All the images are colored with Prismacolor pencils. I used a hole punch to punch in the "postage stamp" image. Let me know if you have any other questions.

{ Project 365 - week 33, Birthday card and gift }

I wanted to thank everyone who stopped by this week for our first Caardvarks blog hop. I appreciate all the wonderful comments. The winners of the hop are posted on the Caardvarks blog, right side bar.
It's 1 am and I can barely keep my eyes open, so I will make this short. Major compute issues, but that will be resolved soon.
I made this card and the note set for my friend Rachel. The stamp sets are the ones I bought at Michaels earlier in the month. For the birthday card I used Basic Grey and October Afternoon paper. The journaling note is Me and My Big Ideas and I stamped the sentiment and flourishes. One more tissue flower that I made. They are so easy and I love them. I got lots of questions on how to make them and I would love to share.
***ETA: yes I will post a tutorial of some kind to show you how I make the flowers. Just trying to figure out how. I have never done a video, but that would be cool.
For the note cards I used different colors of Papertrey Ink paper to coordinate with the stamp images I colored. They are all different. I didn't get a chance to edit all the photos. Let me know if you want to see them all. I packaged them up with fabric ribbon and a stamp from Endless Creations. It matches EK Success scallop punch. The sentiment is Hampton Art.
Project 365 - week 33.
8.10 - new table and chairs from Ikea. So busy with all the phones and his laptop. 8.11 - reading with daddy before bed. 8.12 - mid morning snack. 8.13 - "yes mommy, I know I can't have these, but let me see if I can just reach one." 8.14 - going down the slide at the park. 8.15 - so much entertainment in the pantry. 8.16 - on our way to Oklahoma.

{ Impression Obsession Design Team Challenge #26 - Halloween }

It's Impression Obsession challenge time. This is one of the cards I created for CHA and I never got a chance to share it. For the background I used Cover-a-Card Bubbles (CC026), appropriate for a Spa Day (G2346) stamp. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and chalk. The sentiment is a part of Spooktacular (C5522) sentiment that I stamped and cut apart.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designers' blogs for inspiration: Laura, Dina, Jeanne, Jenny, Julie, Kathy and Shirley.

***Would you like to see your card featured on the Impression Obsession blog? Email your challenge cards using Impression Obsession images to Shirley. Every week, cards will be selected to showcase on the Impression Obsession blog!!!

***I hope you enjoyed our blog hop for the past three days. Another blog hop coming soon.

***Project 365 photos posted tomorrow.

{ Core'dinations Caard Hop Day 3 }

Welcome to Caardvarks, first ever, Blog Hop! Partner: Core'dinations. You made it, I am your last stop. You know the rules.
I made the card with Whitewash cardstock. It is embossed, sanded, and dusted with my Dust Budy. The white and violet cardstock are from Super Assortments collection. I used my EK Sucess scalloped border puch for the white scallops layered over the violet cardstock with a torn edge. I added newsprint patterned paper to the card and flower. The flower is layered with white tissue paper, newsprint pattern paper, and violet Core'dinations cardstock. I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the flower and the white cardstock.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed our Caard Blog Hop!

{ Core'dinations Caard Hop Day 1 }

Welcome to Caardvarks, first ever, Blog Hop! Partner: Core'dinations. You made it, I am your last stop. You know the rules.

My card base is Black Magic cardstock. It is embossed, sanded and dusted with my Dust Budy. I found it recently at a stamp show and I love it. It picks up all the dust and makes the core colors pop. The flowers are die cut from Whitewash cardstock and embossed. For the die cut tag, I just flipped the Whitewash cardstock to the color side to stamp my sentiment.

Make sure you come back tomorrow for more Caard Blog Hopping.

{ 2 Sketches 4 You - Laura's sketch 32, Project 365 - Week 32 }

It's been quiet around here. I know that school is about to start and I hope that everyone is enjoying these last days of summer.
Here is my card for Laura's sketch. I used Cosmo Cricket paper and added some scraps that were left on the table from the August Nook kit. The butterfly is die cut and embossed with Cuttlebug that I bought at a stamp show last month. I love it. It has 4 different embossing folders for the butterfly, but you can use any other folder, too.
I just love the colors of this second card that I created with My Scrapbook Nook August kit. I added the flower and jewel center. The sentiment is a stamp set that I had forever. The little car is a stamp, as well, by Impression Obsession.

Project 365 - week 32.
8.3 - Alex loves to drink out of my glass.
8.4 - this was from out anniversary dinner. I shared the family photo last week. 8.5 - this is the photo I used for the "Favorite books" layout the other day. I just wanted to note his favorite books now. 8.6 - I just love this photo that my husband took of Alex. They were playing outside while I cooked dinner. 8.7 - my little monkey at the park. 8.8 - impromptu water play before his nap. 8.9 - Alex is eating blueberries, strawberries, grapes and raspberries in addition to his only other fruit: banana. I am so happy.
***We are getting ready for a big Core'dinations Caard Hop: August 17, 18 and 19.
