{ We are on the road }

I didn't get a chance to post before I left. There are so many things to do before a trip, especially when traveling with a baby. This is Alex's first trip. We are on our way to Arizona to visit family. Have a great week and I will post again as soon as I can.

{ Impression Obsession Design Team Challenge #7 - Welcome Fall }

We have another DT challenge...Welcome Fall. It doesn't feel like it around here, yet, but I am ready for cooler weather. Do you remember this tree stamp? I used it on this card here. The beautiful tree is from Impression Obsession called Branches of a Tree. I love that you can add leaves. I have several different colors: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, True Thyme...all fall colors. For my sentiment I used Fall/Winter Borders stamp. I made the stamp curve to the paper shape. What is the weather like where you live? You have to check out what the other members of the IO Design Team came up with! Laura Kelli Penny Deborah - she is giving away blog candy and our brand new Guest Designer... Dina Kowal!

{ Guess who is crawling? }

Yes, my little baby Alex. He is 8 months today (15th) and on Sunday he just started crawling. All week he was trying and did it here and there. The week before he started to sit up from prone position and that was so exciting. He is really keeping me busy. I don't have those photos downloaded, but I do have this one from the other day. He got carrots all over his body and I had to wash him in the sink. He loves to play with water. This card is for Embellish-It Scrapbooking Friday Free For All Challenge: Incorporate rub-ons on you project. I hope you can play. Read about all the details here and check out the gallery. I used my new paper from Pink Paislee and Bo Bunny and DCWV rub-ons.
How about this little owl by Nancy Kubo. I fell in love with this digital set. I added Basic Grey patterned paper, Heidi Swapp journaling spot and Bazzill strip. I made this card for Melissa's feather your nest challenge on her blog.
Have a great day.

{ Kristina's color challenge #22 }

Quick post for today's challenge before the deadline. This my first color inspiration by Kristina. Bravo Burgundy, Rose Red and Whisper White cardstock by Stampin' Up. I had the Regal Rose, too, but I wanted to use something with a pattern. This Scenic Route patterned paper from Loveland collection worked great! I stamped butterflies (Butterfly Bliss from Impression Obsession) on the blue background with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. American Crafts thickers.
Have a great day!

{ 2 Sketches 4 You - Laura's sketch 8 }

Here is my card for 2S4Y, something different. I am still trying to clean and the mess is taking over. I have gently moved all the "stuff" off my table to the floor, so I have room to work. Since it takes too long to find anything around here I am working with scraps. My embellishments and stamps are organized in drawers, it's the paper that is all over the place. I made this card by folding a large tag in half. I embossed the background with clear embossing powder. I used a circle stamp from Mod Flowers set by Impression Obsession. Making Memories patterned paper, flower and tiny stickers, Scenic Route label sticker. The Honeycomb border stamp is from Lost Coast Designs that I bought at a stamp show in July. I couldn't find my EZ mount for a while and couldn't use the stamp until just now. The next set of cards I made with post it notes. I found them at Michaels in the dollar section. I got them because of the owls. Aren't they cute?

Look at the time, I have to go to bed. Have a great day!

{ Impression Obsession Guest Designer }

We had no idea when we posted the call for the Impression Obsession Guest Designer position that we would be flooded with talent from literally all over the world! We recieved 85 applications from amazing stampers making the choice very difficult! We wish we could have chosen all 85. After getting the entire Design Team involved and into the mix of judging, one name floated to the top time and time again. That's why we are happy to announce Dina Kowal is our very first Impression Obsession Guest Designer!Congratulations Dina, welcome to the team! I made this card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge #56. I am a little late posting it, but I did make it over the weekend. My new Nestabilities arrived on Friday. I am using them with my old Sizzix press, and I am not sure if I like messing with the "sandwich". I might just get a Cuttlebug or the Big Shot. What do you use? For this card I used Impression Obsession rubber stamp - Small Garden Boots. The oval tag stamp is from Easter Seals stamp set and the sentiment is from Mini Messages set. I used Watercolor pencils and PearlEx Watercolor. You really can't see the shimmer in this photo. This is the first time I used them. I had this little set for a long time. I don't even know where it came from.

{ 2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan's sketch 8 }

Here are my two cards for 2S4Y. The photos still didn't come out as they usually do. It's been cloudy here. Oh, well. I used Tinkering Ink Beau Jardin collection. The bird and the sentiment is a post it note I found at Michaels. I really liked the quote. I bought a journal to match. The little butterflies are punched out with Martha Stewart punch. I made this card for Christine's bonus sketch challenge. I just love the colors of the Beau Jardin. Check out the new stamps!!!! I used the Simply Spring set. I stamped three extra flowers that I cut out and adhered them with foam tape for dimension. I will be back later with Free For All Friday Challenge and our monthly gallery reveal at Embellish-It Scrapbooking. Theme: fall and fellas.

{ Trying not to neglect my blog }

Well, late last night I made two cards, one for 2S4Y and one for Christine's sketch challenge. Late this afternoon I photographed them and they just didn't look right. I couldn't even fix them in Photoshop. I gave up and will share these two that I made last month. Sassafras Lass patterned paper and cute little stickers by Sandylion. Paper Salon flower stamp and Heidi Grace bird stamp, Prima label sticker, Making Memories sticker alpha, October Afternoon journaling note. I just love pink and brown together. This is my last Jenni Bowlin butterfly. I have to find more. I used Basic Grey patterned paper, buttons and rub-on. Alex is adorable and full of energy. He makes me laugh. I don't know how to childproof this house. I will have to remove everything. His favorite things to play with: scrapbooking magazines, cords, laptop, cell phone, a package of American Crafts thickers, my purse, remote control.... This is probably no news to all the mothers out there, but this is my first, I had no idea that toys were not that interesting. Have a great day! I hope those photos turn out today.
